The Ryder Cup Outfits Looks Snazzy

Call me old school, but I'm in love with this look the Ryder Cup has gone with for 2010.

Usually the American team looks like a cross between a 40-year-old father of three and Chandler Bing, so it's nice that someone had the idea to toss some cool digs on these fellas.

Is the retro look a move made because there are so many young guys on the team? I think so. Also, the purple sweater? It seems that might have been a nod at Tiger Woods, who tends to rock purple sweaters when he can.

Totally agree with you on this one dood. Can't go wrong with the classic style. I wanna go to the mall and buy a purple cardigan now. LOL.

VERY snazzy...but there is one glaring problem. This is the Ryder Cup - US vs Europe. There isn't a drop of red, white, or blue in any of this.

As hot as the Captainess looks wrapped in the flag on the cover of Avid Golfer, how did she manage to forget that those are the colors that go with the US Ryder Cup team ?

@Court Red, white and blue are a little played out tho. Time for a change. Captainness's ideas are very refreshing. Remember the 1999 Ryder Cup brown curtain looking fabric uniforms. Those were horrible.

Well, at least the US Team will look snazzy when they go down to the Europeans!!

Kono - I don't think anybody disagreed on how bad those 1999 shirts were - but completely leaving out the US colors is just wrong. Red White and Blue will never be played out as long as that flag is flying.

Very European looking. Where is the American leadership?
