The 2011 Masters Pairings, With Commentary
The 2011 Masters pairings are out (hooray!), so here they are, with all the Thursday times Eastern. If you live in Hawaii and want me to convert that to your time, understand one thing; I can barely write, so if you think I'm good at math, you obviously typed in the wrong url. Here goes ...
7:45 AM - Jonathan Byrd, Ross Fisher, Sean O'Hair
7:56 AM - Sandy Lyle, Alex Cejka, David Chung - Over/under on shots they show on ESPN from this group? I'll put it at .5, just in case someone holes out, and take the under.
8:07 AM - Jerry Kelly, Camilo Villegas, Jeff Overton - Quick, if a cute, young female is following this group, who do you think she's interested in watching?
8:18 AM - Ben Crenshaw, Brandt Snedeker, Kevin Na
8:29 AM - Mark O'Meara, Anders Hansen, Heath Slocum
8:40 AM - Dustin Johnson, Adam Scott, Nick Watney - This is like the Rat Pack of the PGA Tour, and I'm loving it.
8:51 AM - Vijay Singh, Tim Clark, Aaron Baddeley
9:02 AM - Gregory Havret, Carl Pettersen, Ryan Palmer - Congrats on pairing two of the hardest last names in the game together!
9:14 AM - Martin Laird, Mark Wilson, Bo Van Pelt
9:24 AM - Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler, Jason Day - Do you think McIlroy and Fowler get sick of playing with each other? It seems at every event, people are trying to pair the "young guns" for some reason. I am shocked (SHOCKED) Ishikawa isn't in the group instead of Day.
9:35 AM - Mike Weir, Hiroyuki Fujita, Retief Goosen
9:57 AM - Padraig Harrington, Ryo Ishikawa, Bill Haas
10:08 AM - Larry Mize, Rory Sabbatini, a-Jin Jeong - Slow clap on the screw job to Sabbatini.
10:19 AM - Martin Kaymer, Lee Westwood, Matt Kuchar - If you're at Augusta Thursday or Friday, spend one of those two days watching this one. Also, my pick to win the thing is in this, but I'm not revealing that until Wednesday.
10:30 AM - Hunter Mahan, Ernie Els, Francesco Molinari
10:41 AM - Tiger Woods, Graeme McDowell, Robert Allenby - Lucky for Steve Williams, it's a lot tougher to take the Masters jumpsuits off before the final putt drops than it is to take off just a normal caddie bib.
10:52 AM - Arjun Atwal, Sergio Garcia, Robert Karlsson
11:03 AM - Charl Schwartzel, Stuart Appleby, Charley Hoffman
11:14 AM - Ian Woosnam, D.A. Points, Ben Crane
11:25 AM - Craig Stadler, Kevin Streelman, a-Nathan Smith
11:36 AM - Peter Hanson, Kyung-Tae Kim, Ryan Moore
11:47 AM - Angel Cabrera, Ian Poulter, David Toms - Man, I'm sure this will be a chatty bunch.
12:09 PM - Trevor Immelman, Lucas Glover, a-Hideki Matsuyama - "So Lucas, remember when we won majors?" "Yeah Trevor." "What the hell happened to us since then?" "Well, I grew a beard."
12:20 PM - Zach Johnson, Y.E. Yang, Migual Angel Jimenez - Slow and steady wins the race.
12:31 PM - Jose Maria Olazabal, Davis Love III, a-Lion Kim
12:42 PM - Tom Watson, Ricky Barnes, Jason Bohn
12:53 PM - Fred Couples, Luke Donald, Steve Stricker
1:04 PM - Anthony Kim, Henrik Stenson, Steve Marino - Somebody in this group might break their putter, I'm just not sure who. I guess I'd set the line at Kim - 3/2, Stenson - 8/ and Marino - 5-2.
1:15 PM - Bubba Watson, Paul Casey, Edoardo Molinari
1:26 PM - Stewart Cink, Jim Furyk, Yuta Ikeda
1:37 PM - Justin Rose, K.J. Choi, Louis Oosthuizen
1:48 PM - Phil Mickelson, Geoff Ogilvy, a-Peter Uihlein
1:59 PM - Jhonattan Vegas, Gary Woodland, Alvaro Quiros - The guy that has to measure the driving distance for this group should get some of the Augusta crystals they give to people that make an eagle.
